Every guide and porter on our trips is Nepali, most from the Khumbu or Solukhumbu districts the treks pass through — this is local employment, not outsourced labor.

We assign staff familiar with the routes and communities we operate in; request each guide's current credentials and porter terms before booking.
Fair terms
Porter loads, insurance and pay are the parts of trekking-industry practice that get the least attention from trekkers booking a trip, and the most attention from the guides and porters actually doing the work. We hold to guide and porter welfare standards recommended by organizations like the International Porter Protection Group as a baseline, not an upper limit.
