Green Everest
Our Green Promise
Reforestation is one part of it. On the trail itself, our commitment is simpler: leave every campsite, teahouse and viewpoint the way we found it.
On the trail
Sagarmatha National Park has strict waste-carry-out rules, and we hold every group to them regardless of what's technically required at a given lodge — packaging carried in gets carried back out, not left at altitude where it doesn't decompose. Guides brief every group on Leave No Trace practice before Lukla.
Wildlife and water
Groups keep distance from wildlife in the national park (musk deer, Himalayan tahr and occasionally snow leopard sign are all present along the upper trail) and we don't use disposable plastic water bottles on our own supplies — trekkers are briefed on refill points and, where needed, provided purification rather than buying bottled water at altitude.
