EBC, Gokyo or Everest View: Which Trek Fits Your Trip?

Start with your available days and what you want to experience. A longer route is not automatically the better choice.

Choose the experience before the package

Base Camp, an alpine lake and a village stay are different travel goals. Start by deciding what you would regret missing, then work backward from your available days in Nepal. Include arrival, departure and contingency time when discussing your schedule. Published durations and prices describe our starting packages; a final quote must state the actual services and itinerary.

Everest Base Camp: the classic destination

Our EBC package is published at 14 days, from US$1,450 per person. It focuses on the southern Base Camp in Nepal, around 5,364 metres, rather than the camp on the Tibetan side. Look through the existing day-by-day itinerary and discuss both rest stops and the return-flight buffer. Do not use a lower headline duration to avoid those questions.

Gokyo: lakes and a different route

Gokyo’s lake system lies in Sagarmatha National Park. Our Gokyo Lakes & Renjo La package is published at 16 days, from US$1,650. Choose it when the lakes are central to your trip. If you want to combine the Gokyo area with the Base Camp route, ask about the 17-day Gokyo Chola Pass option, published from US$1,780, and the implications of the crossing.

Three Passes: more time and a demanding plan

The 20-day Three Passes package starts at US$2,100. Before choosing this longer trip, discuss your previous walking experience, altitude history and flexibility with the team. Ask how the itinerary can change if a crossing is unsuitable. More destinations do not automatically make a trip a better fit for your group.

Everest View and Namche: a shorter visit

Everest View is published at seven days from US$890; Namche & Khumjung at nine days from US$980. These are alternatives with different destinations, not compressed Base Camp trips. They may suit a traveler prioritizing a shorter stay or village time. Ask about each person’s needs and the actual overnight plan; a short duration does not make a route suitable for everyone.

Compare total cost, not just the starting price

Put the quotes side by side and check domestic routing, permits, staff, rooms, meals, taxes and exclusions. International flights, visa, personal insurance, gear, tips and lodge extras need separate attention. Ask who pays for additional nights or changed transport. Confirm the deposit, balance and cancellation conditions before sending money.

Make the next decision together

Share your travel month, exact party size, total available time and the question each companion still has. Request one suitable recommendation, or two alternatives when there is a real trade-off. The next step is a conversation and a written quote; submitting a request does not reserve a departure or create a booking.
